The router is not allowing my pap2 to send or receive phone calls. The phone works, when directly plugged into the cable modem. Please have a suggestion for me, as customer support does not. |

I have the exact same setup and the only way it would work was to give the PAP2 a "static IP" address, dont forget to set the subnet to 255.255.255.0 and the gateway to the ip adress of the router. It shows how to in the book, under troubleshooting.
If you still are having trouble reply back on here |

I dont remember exactly how, it is in the book, maybe it is under programming. In the book there is a table of codes to type to find out the firmware version and things like that. I know you dial **** to connect to the PAP2 and there are codes that you enter to change different things. Look in the book again, sorry I dont have the book handy |

I have found a couple mentions of issues using Vonage with a PAP2 through a Netgear MR814 router.
I have been fighting this problem all day. Can someone post screen shots of their MR814 setup pages and the results of all the configuration items in the PAP2 book? (ie 100, 110, 120, and 130) This stuff drives me crazy, using Motorola cable modem, Netgear router, and Linksys phone adapter - no one will support the system!!! They only support their own stuff, and usually with a price. I don't buy equipment for its own sake. I buy it for the functionality provided by the system, if I can even make it all work!!! |
