PostPosted: Sat Apr 02, 2005 11:44 am    Post subject: hook up a Satellite Phone Base right from the Linksys phone? Reply with quote Back to top

I'm new to this Vonage service but after a week of signing up, it's still not up.

First off, Customer Service has to be the worst service I've ever dealt with. Currently, I've called them 3 times. Everytime I've waiting 30 minutes, then the music stops and it goes straight to a ring with no one picking up. Horrible.

Yesterday when I did get someone, they struggled with the English Language. I didn't get anywhere.

Maybe I can ask the question here. Here it goes...

I have the Linkyss Router and I need to hook it up to my Netgear Wireless Router.

My question is , can I hook up a Satellite Phone Base right from the Linksys phone port? If I do this, can both my phones (satellites) work?

I'm trying to avoid the whole thing about disconnecting my phone line from the outside and activating the jacks in my house. I hope this isn't confusing to anyone, I'm still figuring this all out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

If what you mean is having one base stations and 2 wireless headset that route to that work station than your answer is yes it will work.

That link will guide you on how to properly install your router with your Phone adapter "Linksys Router".
If you would like to set up a RIP Network let me know I be more than glad to help you.

Got it rolling. It's working, but not because of their Customer Service, it's from this forum.

Long live the Forum!!!

Thanks,
