Post subject: LNP in progress POTS is dead (sort of) old voicemail answers
I think my transfer is in progress. On Monday (after 36 business days) we awoke to our POTS line dead. However, since then, when you call our house via any outside phone on our "old/ported" number our Verizon Voicemail(former carrier) responds after one ring on the calling phone with no ringing/indication in our house on the POTS. I have read in this thread that it takes 48 hours for all of the system programming to "catch up". I have just cycled power to the cable modem and the Linksys router, still no change. Am I supposed to do something else??? Is it normal that it would take more than 72 hours for the programming to take place??? Any thoughts would be appreciated..
Comcast Cable.. Lynksys Router...
Paetec, Verizon...

outgoing and inbound (via temp number) works fine.
