Why does the caller ID only show the phone number (twice) instead of the phone number and person's name. This happens on my caller ID box and on the Vonage computer site. It only seems to be for other Vonage callers. Land line phone customers come through with name and number.
I beleive this is almost as important as ACR. My parents along with others tend to not answer the phone because they mistake me as a telemarketer. I know that they should look at the number as some of you may suggest but there are others that agree with me.

I was hoping someone from Vonage might be monitoring this site and provide the answere to my question about the caller name showing up on the ID. If you look at the Vonage site, they claim that caller ID contains the name and number of the caller.

Only the phone number is sent from Vonage, This is the way it is done with all phone companies. The phone company that is actually delivering the call on the receiving end looks up the name that goes with the number in a database and adds it. If the name is not in their database, then they can not add it. Its the system, not Vonage.
