Would be awesome if I'd have a WiFi phone that would work with Vonage. This way I can use Vonage where ever a hotspot allows me to use WiFi ... just like a regular cellphone (OK limited coverage, but a LOT easier than to drag my LinkSys with cables and AC adapters around). |

Here's some more information about the phone:
Full Review of the Phone HERE
USA Today Article HERE
Not sure if anyone knows this, but will the phone charge support 110v and 240v for other countires? Also, theoretically this should work in a Hotel with a wired connection provided you bring your own wireless AP and get past the webpage proxy with your laptop right (i.e. paying the fee, accepting their T&C, etc.)?
The only problem is what if I am at a hotel overseas that ONLY has wifi and no wired connections AND requires the annoying proxy webpage...?[/url] |

I have read both articles, and am wondering if alternative wireless Voip phones will work (like the one from Zyxel).
As for the powersupply; I bet it will do 100 - 240V. Nowadays a very common thing with these little chargers (see you laptop, Archos, digital camera, PDA, shaver, camcorder, etc). |

Right now a cell phone on simultaneous ring is giving me the mobility i want but I can imagine a wifi Voip phone I woujld probably want to own.
What I understand is a wifi phone would be the only device provisioned to an account so there would only be one handset available at home for that account, UNLESS, the unit came with a cradle that had AC for recharging, ethernet port for hard wire to the internet and phone port for the house phone system. If I could get a wifi hand set with that kind of flexibility, at cordless phone prices I'd be tempted. |
