I have taken the ATA to Japan a few times. Worked without a hiccup. |

Do anybody know a VoIP-provider in Japan, that offers POT numbers also for foreign people? |

Hey jaymenn,
I asked the question about using Vonage in India, but "reebok" said according to Vonage terms I can't use like that.
How come the Vonage service worked for you in Japan?

(snippet from section 1.3.2) "Vonage reserves the right to terminate your Service immediately and without advance notice if it determines that you are using it outside the United States or Canada." |

I never said it didn't work. it will work anywhere where the ports are open and the bandwidth is big enough. however, according to that section of the terms of service, it's not allowed. big difference. here's the thread: http://www.vonage-forum.com/ftopic2453.html |

Just a heads up for you guys. Generally all companies insert legal wording in order to be ready for any possibility. Keep in mind we do offer limited support when a device is used overseas. Just thought I'd mention this... |

I remember reading back last spring, that you could have Vonage anywhere in teh world you wanted, as long as your credit card had a US billing address..
weird how now they chenged their site to say this..
this was before they had Vonage Canada, I was going to get a credit card from my bank's US sister branch and use my Mother in laws address.. and get a virtual number from Canada.. but then they got Vonage Can. and I just have it opposite of that.. |
