No, the name portion no longer comes through (765 area code).

My caller id with number has always worked fine.

I received my motorola equipment on Nov, 24 and was up and running in no time. On Nov, 25 I had the number portion of caller id but no names until Nov, 25.

The names stopped coming through last Thur or Fri? I forget the exact date, I know it was the same day the service announcement about "Caller Id with Name" was removed.

The other day I power cycled the equipment to see if it would start working again, but no luck.

I assume they took the test system out and are in process with rolling out the production version? (just a wild guess)

(Names started coming through for me on Nov, 25 -- could have came to this area earlier but my equipment may have received a flash update over night -- just a guess?)

Has anyone heard anything else about this. Vonage finally took the service anouncement of it's website. Is this still forthcoming? Are selected areas still getting the CID name?

I live in Wisconsin. The names have been showing up off and on for the past month. Business names are the full business name. Residential numbers are showing up with a "'s" at the end of the last name.

For example.. Smith's, Johnson's, Abbott's..

It looks like it started on my phone yesterday. No weird characters or anything like that, just the proper name.

I wish they would post something because they already advertise it as a feature on their site for new customers.

Rather than wishing, call and complain. Advertising and promoting a service (name/caller ID) and not offering it is illegal. I did that and had it two hours later.

The trick is they are offering it to new customers so it's not false advertising. They're converting existing customers as time goes on. I don't NEED the service but its interesting to see that they advertise it before making sure their existing customers get it.

My Vonage service started Nov. 24th. The number portion of Caller Id started to come through on Nov. 25th. It stopped on Dec. 5th.

I wrote customer care and received the following (Dec. 16th):

We are currently testing the caller ID with name feature on certain
areas. The feature is not fully functional as of now, but we hope to
have it available to all of our customers shortly. We will notify you
when the feature is fully functional in you area. If you do have any
further questions please do feel free to contact us.

Thank you for choosing Vonage!

(I guess I should give them a call and see why they are advertising it as a feature if it's not available?)
