SGM,
A coworker of mine was on vacation in Oz in October and brought his ATA with him. He called from his hotel a few times and had no problems what so ever. He just jacked in and was dialing in seconds.

Last week a friend was visiting family in Bali and used his laptop and SoftPhone with no problems. He was just hijacking on open WAPs. Vonage works anywhere you have a good net connection. Period.

I'm in the UK and have phoned someone in the next county on his Vonage number 917 area code. Sometimes problems with latency if he's downloading, but otherwise fine...

I have been using Vonage here in Auckland for a week with my Telecom 256k broadband link. Quality is excelent and it has already paid for itself.

I did have an install problem as the # Vonage assigned me was already in use but customer service gave me a new # and I was on-line in less than 2 hrs.

Score card (so far)
- Service = B+ (would be A but for the # mixup)
- Support = A

Using it in Copenhagen and it seems very clear on both ends. I am having a problem with a port now, but I hope to find an answer on this very board, but otherwise it's quite good.

I wish I could say I like their xenophobic US Only policy though in terms of credit cards and shipping addresses, though.

I am wondering how you made out with Vonage in Lima?

If anyone else has any info on Vonage from Lima let me know as I am bringing my ATA with me on my trip to Peru March 14th. My wife's DSL connection is showing 105 kbs on the telefonica test page, but I don't know how many hops it is going to take to get to Vonage in USA...to have a diatone.

Any info..please send me a note pmlittle@nbnet.nb.ca

Thanks....Pierre

I'm interested to using Vonage in tel aviv. My gf goes to school here and she calls home to Israel very often or vice versa. I was thinking how well it would work to get a virtual number for here and keep the ATA at her family's house in Israel. Has anyone done anything similar?

My parents using it in India. My parents use it so that I can call them on a local number (Atlanta, GA) and they can call me. It saves me a bundle in international calling. I cant believe it costs just 25 bucks. I used to have a monthly bill of over 150 bucks from ATT etc.
No major issues, but have been experiencing choppy/broken audio on their end. I can hear them perfectly. This has been happening since last 2 weeks or so. Let me go see on this forum if someone can help me.

Bangkok, Thailand: Works fine with ADSL but had to get a business account as the typical residential account connection quality was too bad for Voip most hours of the day.

I have switched services for exactly 4 hours so time will tell but right now it is like using my Voip in the US... crystal clear.
