Set-Up Information **************************************** I'm a newbie to Voip and need help with setting up a 4 voice lines and one fax line. I own and operate a tennis store in San Diego and with a medium-size on-line Business (www.tenniscompany.com). We send out 50-130 orders a day. We currently use Four 4-line phones throughout the store. We are on the phone pretty much all-day.
The features of Voip, especially Hunting more than 2-lines is major help. Currently we use the following 4 phones: AT&T, Phonemate, Ge 2-9438A and a Panasonic KX TG000B. We also use an OHP 5000 Music On-hold Digital player.
I'm willing to scrap all the phones and purchase four new 4-line phones (hopefully under $150.ea). Do not need anything fancy. One of our current phones has an answering machine which will not longer be need with the Voice Mail service.
3) We currently use Time Warner Road Runner Cable serive. We have the standard package, I think it's 1Mb Upsteamd and 386Kb's downstream
4) I use a cable router that is used to network our 4 computers and and provide Internet Access.
5) I'm keeping one Land Line for our credit card machine.
Set-up Configuration ***********************************
1) Need help with phone selection: Volume and clarity are a must, speaker phone and Caller ID are good, nothing fancy, just relible! I have read several postings with customers have problems with Call ID not working correctly.
2) Bandwidth needed for 4 voice lines and 1 fax line.
3) Vonage phone adapters? I have Four 4-line phones positioned throughout the store. Only one phone is next to a cable outlet. How do I connect the phones? Does each phone need two 2-line adapters so then can answer each line?
4) I'm sure how the OHP machine will be configured in the overall layout.
Any help would be appreciated
