Well i have been trying to set my moms Vonage phone up through a verizon nationacess broad band wireless modem with the broad band router that Vonage sent but it needs a external modem for the router to work right and i was wondering if there is a way to set it up with out the router and use a voice fax modem. thank you if you can help william romero |

wow that's confusing. can you write it in better english? if not, here's a stab at it what is the model of the modem? are there any ports at all to plug into? voice/fax modem has nothing to do with anything so you won't be able to use it. |

Well I am trying to set the Vonage phone up with pc5220 national access modem. It dosn't have any ports on the modem i even had to buy an adapter. So that it would work in her pc do to the fact that is was ment be used in a laptop |

haha, ok, this is a net card that works over the cellular network. while it looks like it will theoretically be fast enough for Vonage (bandwidth wise) I highly doubt Vonage will work with this. not to mention all the hassle of buying more and more stuff just to rig it so it might work. |

well I ran the test and if shut down yahoo messenger she can have up to 1 conection so what next |

post the results here. after that, run testyourvoip.com detailed results and post them.
I'm telling you all this with the understanding that 1. I think your phone calls will be crap at best and will basically be unusable and this isn't worth the trouble, 2. when it comes down to it, I don't even know if it will work/connect at all, but I think you would do something similar to this: http://www.vonage-forum.com/ftopic4034.html |
