What about adding Monterrey and Guadalajara?
You know how many people from the state of Jalisco (where Guadalajara is the state capital) live in the U.S.?
I know towns that are called "the town of the lonely women", just because all men migrate to the U.S. looking for better ops. |

I'd like to add my "vote" for Guadalajara and Monterrey and add Poza Rica, Veracruz and Puebla
Lingo already has Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey

I only like to add Jerez de Garcia Salinas, Zacatecas (494) and I'll be cool with that. |

Here it is 7 months since I last posted on this topic and all there is from Vonage is a resounding SILENCE!!!!
Not only has Lingo now included unlimited Mexico calling on one of their plans but both Skypein and Yahoo's new telephone equivalent is talking of offering "virtual" numbers in up to 120 different countries. Meanwhile, Vonage thinks Canada, England and one city in Mexico is international. Come on Vonage!!!! Make me feel good about having an account with you. Respond to your customers, innovate, think global. Times Warner has already got 1 million customers in way less time than it took you. If you don't watch your back, you'll disappear like many in the past. |

Why don't we make a petition (I'm serious) to send to Vonage asking to add more Mexican virtual numbers. If they did offer more Mexican virtual numbers, it would most likely double the current amount of customers Vonage has. |

Inmate77,
Although I'd gladly sign a petition if I thought it would do any good but from what I've seen, Vonage, like too many companies, does not look for feedback from their actual or potential customers, do not react to it and project an absolute disregard for opinions and or requests.
Time and again it's been shown that only companies that are sensitive to their customers have an opportunity to survive. Most companies fall to the wayside after a few good years either failing financially or being absorbed and disappearing into the maws of large corporations.
If I were a betting man, I'd say that within 2-years, Vonage will be just a memory except for those at the top who cut and run after a successful IPO or public sale. Except for a few niche players, most VOIP services will be in the hands of the existing Telcos and the large Cable companies.
In regards to the idea of a petition, I've included a link to the "Snopes" website with an opinion of petitions and their effectiveness: http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/petition/internet.htm |

Even though I have two Vonage lines, one here in Houston and one in Guadalajara, Mexico; the ISP in GDL (MierdaRed) **** rocks most of the time and I end up calling my people long distance.
I married my sweetheart from GDL a year ago and now call volume more than doubled
LD rates to GDL through Vonage are not too bad but if I could get a virtual number, it would be my backup when the internet is down.
So, add me to the list of people asking for more virtual numbers in Mexico. |

Yes, more virtual numbers for Mexico! I vote for Tijuana too. In the alternative, free calls to Mexico, or at least a small monthly fee for unlimited calls to Mexico. |
