this is xten right? did you use the audio tuning wizard? could be that specific port is blocked somehow. are you sure your firewalls are totally disabled? what isp are you using? |

well besides opening up all of the volume options in the OS's volume control feature to make sure you aren't muting the wrong thing and making sure the firewalls are disabled (can't stress that enough, esp since you're using not one, but two for some reason) the next question would be, can you absolutely not hear them, or is it very faint, muffled, broken, choppy, etc? |

I disabled firewall and checked windows volume control. I still not receiving audio (absolutelly not) The other side can hear me. for example, if I call my fax machine, the ´connected´ message appears but I did not hear the fax tone. |

so if you called your own number or your other Vonage line and left a voicemail, it would be there (could check it online) but you wouldn't be able to hear it if you called *123 to check it over the softphone. that's pretty weird, and the incoming audio port(s) block is the only thing I can think of besides volume levels. |

The other side can hear YOU; Your mic is OK. Perhaps *HIS* mic is not right.
If your sound seems OK for other functions, it should work for Voip.
Are you using a headset, or using PC speakers for sound? Use sound recorder to make a test using your mic, and test playback sound on your headset or speakers.
I have found XTen difficult for setup. (I prefer the free SJLabs product)
My settings for XTEN are here: http://home.comcast.net/~thuxton/sipsettings.htm Note that settings are for Sipphone (not Telephonica) I would check your speaker audio device setting (mine is "default")
Again, I believe the other person's mic is the most likely fault with your call error. (if your speaker or headset works otherwise)
