Post subject: I need more telephone ports....
So I been using
Vonage
for 3 days now. So far so good but I cant say the same for their customer service. I used up the 2 ports on the linksys RT31P2 router they supplied. I have more phones. So I decided to take a trip to best buy and I bought another Phone adapter... The PAP2. Maybe it was a mistake? I decided to register the MAC address. It took me about an hour before I had an American rep (All the others sounded Indian) talk to me and tell me that I cant use 2 phone adapters on the same line. He said it I can only do that if I add a line.... Can someone clear this up for me?
My Setup is like this:
Motorola SB5100 -> DI-624 -> Dlink 4port switch -> RT31P2 (works fine)
Motorola SB5100 -> DI-624 -> Dlink 4port switch -> PAP2 (not working)
Can someone give me some advice on how to expand more phone ports and If I should return this Phone adapter that I just bought.

definitely return the adaptor. each phone port on each device is for a seperate phone line and number, not for the same one, nor will it work like that. they also won't allow the same number on more than one device. you can hook it up to your house wiring if that's an option, or you'll need a cordless expandable phone set (the uniden tru series is popular) and uh, I think there may be something else that doesn't come to mind. here are links to wiring your house:

thanks for the quick reply. I'll go return it now. I would wire my house but its a 2 family home and I dont want the rewiring to mess with my tenants lines because they have a land line.

Just 2 more cents, have you considered IP phone service. The phone plugs directly into the WAN/LAN jacks.
