Post subject: Using Vonage with other SIP endpoints
My business has an existing VoIP network and a Vonage business account. It seems rather suboptimal for us to be going through the ATA->Voice gateway->IP Phone route when we're receiving VoIP straight from Vonage. Is there anyway I can obtain the necessary configuration parameters to jack straight into the Vonage VoIP network so that I can spare the unnecessary digital->analog->digital conversion? It appears that Vonage is using SIP for call signaling, would it just be a matter of registering my own endpoint with their redirection servers?

Post subject: VonTek
Zack,
I've been having the same problems. Unfortunately, Vonage seems to be laser focused on their core business and are not that helpful when customers try to get creative with their service.
Try giving VonTek a call (203-409-3810). They sell the VegaStream VEGA 100 for SIP >TDM>TDM>SIP calling with 23 or 46 lines. This is an 'approved' solution to connect more lines to Vonage.
They also claim to have a SIP > SIP solution, but I have yet to see it.
I know that the best solution would be if Vonage allows calls to be transfered directly to their SIP gateways from other SIP gateways, but I've been trying to talk to them about this for months - with no luck.
Rob
