First let me say, that installation was truly plug and play. Nothing special had to be done. Connected phone adopter(RT31P2) to router (BEFSR81)... 2-3 min and phone line indicator came up. Made a few phone calls, quality is incredible (set to max) i didn`t even know that phone device can actually sound like this. Person on the other end sounds like a real person and not like some kind of AI. Goes for both, local and overseas calling. So far, very good impressions. Even from customer service that many upset with. I can`t even recall that i had to wait on the line for representative. Faulty RT31P2 from initial shipment was replaced overnight. Bandwidth usage is as advertised, give or take. Was watching bandwidth meter as i was on the pnone... didn`t even see it going off by much.
Bottom line, another happy customer |

I am personally glad that 1) there is another satisfied customer, and 2) you posted to tell your story. I myself get tired being a satisfied customer reading gripes, some that are really not necessary. jim |

working for the company, this is actually a kind of stress reliever for me to read stories like this
its hard when you work all day trying to fix people's problems to think that anyone actually does have good experiences with the service ... i'm more than happy to help out some of our more troubled customers but it can wear you down
thanks guys for making me smile before I go pass out to go back to work again |

I have been having a good experience too! Of course, it's only been 4 days! LOL But...the first night I got it, either I would cut out to the caller or the caller would cut out on me. We could hear the other person but the other person could not hear. But that was only the first night!!! Since then it has worked perfectly! I have been having all my landline calls forwarded to the temp Vonage number, and so far so good!!! I took off caller id, and all the other phone features of my landline since I have them all when I forward calls to Vonage. HOORAY so far!! |

I, too, have posted in the past that I've had nothing but good experiences with Vonage. I've passed my third month, now, and it's still going great. Moving to Voip was one of the smart decisions I've made! |

Wow! I have never had a reason to complain about Vonage. Everything worked great right out of the box. It is a pleasure to hear fellow users compliment Vonage and express patience with customer service. They deserve that. What you give is what you get. I am happy to know that the intelligence exists on this forum to accomplish the assistance asked for.
I get disgusted at the folks that jump on the phone the very second that they have have a problem. Then whine and criticize about how lousy customer service is, how poor the quality of equipment, etc. They may find quick and courteous service if they approached with calm and kindness. Thus they get the run around because no one wants to deal with them.
In my experience, the majority of problems are self inflicted. They try to stuff their phone adapter into a configuration that it was not meant for. Few of them took the time to study the Help_KnowledgeBase, FAQ's, or the learning center before they hooked up their equipment or when a problem arises. Most problems and solutions can be found on the Help page. The remaining problems are the purview of the more experienced users as well as those with the intelligence to solve problems.
I've made a note of your user names so that I'll know who to trust in the future. Thanks. |

I thought I would add that I too am very pleased with Vonage. I have had not problems with them whatsoever. My router didn't work when I hooked it up initially, and so I called tech support, and they replaced my router via overnight mail. I got the new router, and have had no other reason to contact them, other than to tell them what a great service they offer.
I also want to thank this forum for thier help on getting my DirecTV Tivo to connect to my computer for the daily calls. I have nothing but praise for the poeple on this site who have helped me, and also for the Vonage employees because of the excellent job they are doing.
Keep up the good work everyone!!!!! |

Similar experience here... this forum (a privately run forum, not an official Vonage corporate site) has been invaluable in learning from others' experiences, but more importantly my interactions with Vonage the company have been very positive.
A recent port took longer than expected (1/5 to 3/18 and I was admittedly impatient), but e-mails/communciations were handled professionally, Vonage issued credits for each month (no double phone bills) and in during that time I was able to "constructively" wait by forwarding my POTS line to Vonage, using Vonage for all calls. The service has fully met my expecations.
