I'm using Vonage for business and this is unacceptable. It's been unreliable all day and I'm not happy about it. |

Yes, we all call in and ask for credits for 1 day or more depending on how long this lasts. |

I think credits are totally reasonable especially since this appears to have been an all day issue depending on when you actually try and place a call...some go through with no issue and some don't.
If you are patient enough to wait in the CS queue you can probably get one..but I would assume the queue would be days in lentgh right now on the heels of a widespread outage.
I decided to use a mix of POTS/Vongage for my business calls..I still route my incoming calls through POTS and make my outgoing on Vonage..this way when there is an outage at least customers can still get through on the incoming POTS numbers.
This may just be something we have to deal with now and then as this technology emerges.

I'd be hesitant to rely on Vonage for my business needs. |

Not just Vongage..I would be hesitant to rely on any type of Voip solution for business without a solid POTS backup especially since in alot of ways it's still in its development stage.
I treat voice the same way I treat the data pipe to my inhouse server environment....never have a sole source provider for anything business related.

It's probably not even worth attempting to call CS right now...They must be buried with calls from people who don't know why they are having intermittent problems completing outbound calls.
Besides...they are not going to have any additional information outside of "we are having some technical difficulties right now"..if they tell you that.

Its been posted on the Service Announcements. All you can do is wait it out. Get bent if you like, but it still won't change a thing. Even if you had a POTS line, they have their problems too. Go get a coke and relax. |

Oh I for sure am definately not going to get bent over it...I have the necessary backups in place..my biggest inconvenience with this outtage is having to go downstairs to the parking lot and get the headset for my cell out of the car |
