I had this problem at 2:05 EST today calling an 888 number. Got fast busy, or silent connection, or what appeared to be a wrong number. Kept trying - finally got thru. Then I was disconnected after 5 minutes and heard fast busy. Tried yet again and was connected ok.
ISP is RoadRunner in St. Augustine FL using Linksys interface. |

is there some problem from outer space, like sunspots causing EM interference?
I swear the last Vonage CS rep I called was an alien. |

This ****!!! The one day I try to work from home, and the ____ Vonage phone doesn't work. Inbound calls still work. Has ANYONE been able to find out what is going on !?!
Is anyone from Vonage monitoring and can give us a heads up??
ISP is a local carrier from Spanish Fork, Utah. Just got off the phone with them, again, and they have not made any changes to my static ip. They do not block ports. Linksys RT31P2 Interface. |

That happened to me the first time I decided to work from home. I feel your pain. |

Same issue here in New Hampshire - Charter provides the service. So it's a Vonage problem. Nothing posted on their Web site. And as usual, no way to get through. I've gone through their voicemail system 3 times on a land line and it just dead ends into silence. |

Seconds after I made this post it worked.. and it's been working fine since. But everytime I called Vonage and made it through the seemlingly never ending menu I got the same busy signal. |

I'm having intermittent success with outbound calls. My first 4 or 5 all failed. It would ring for a bit, and then I got the fast beeping (which I presume is the fast busy people refer to). I tried my cell phone and verified the numbers I was calling were valid and working. After that, I tried calling my cell and got through. I then tried a friend, and failed the first 2 times, and had success the 3rd.
My broadband connection is working fine.
I've been a Vonage customer for less than a week now. Does this sort of thing happen often? Either way, it isn't very encouraging.
