Vonage sent email on Friday saying my number would be ported over today. My BellSouth line went dead about 9:30 this morning. When I called my number on a cell phone, the Vonage line rang.
Now, about seven hours later, I've not received email from Vonage saying the number has been transferred. My web page on porting doesn't show it's been completed, and my virtual number is still in place.
Is this typical or does Vonage usually send email immediately once a number is ported?
Thanks!

yea it's typical. My number got ported the day they had said, but I got the confirmation nearly 1.5 days later. So dont sweat it. If it seems that physically you are transferred, then virtually you will be in couple of days. |

Thanks for the replies. I got the final email last night about 10 PM, although it was dated today (Mar 22). That was probably based on GMT. Still, getting my number ported in 11 days (7 business days) isn't too shabby!
Everything is great so far!
