This isn't an internet connectivity issue, and it's not the software. It's the router. I have 3 computers connected through the router and it CONSTANTLY has intermittent disconnects. I play MUDS (Text based RPGs online) and that gets disconnected randomly, My messengers, whether I'm running them directly or whether I'm running via Trillian. I play World of Warcraft and that gets disconnected randomly as well. Not for everyone in the house. All 3 of us will be on Wow, and only one of us will get disconnected then when he reconnects another of us will get disconnected. I checked with my ISP, and they are showing us with no service interruptions at all. I believe them because before we got Vonage we were going through a Hub with multiple DHCP IPs and we had no connectivity issues at all. As soon as we got the Vonage router, that is when the connectivity issues started. I've tried every setting known to man on the router and it still has had no effect at all.
Does anyone know what this could be besides connectivity and Windows based software... i.e. what could be wrong with the router, because that's what it is... the router. Can I point out any more that Im' 100% sure it's the router. thats messing up the internet and not the internet? |

In addition, whenever I remote connect to my computer, I stay connected for only a few minutes before getting disconnected. While my roomates at home will have few, or no connection troubles at that time. |

Alright, I'm having the same problem. You guys said to setup UPnP, but I'm confused as to what ports I should enable in the UPnP thing. Any clues? |
