hmm this is the price we pay for an unregulated service!
anyway I have a pap2 direclty connected to a dlink 524 thats connected to my dsl modem, that was working fine (no network changes) but now I can receive calls but I can't dial out it just sticks with the dial tone. I've done the reset thing 10+ times I have called customer support 10+ times and they've hung up on me 3 times and the other times my hold times have been over an hour! So I'm getting a little tired of this but I'll keep on trying! And having call backs after being on hold for an hour really ****! thanks tr
ps if anybody has the answer for my current problem I'd love to here it! |

what was the price you paid for a regulated service? apparently more than you were willing. at any rate, what exactly is your problem? when you press a button on the phone the dial tone stays on (instead of going silent and allowing you to continue dialing)? if so, can you try another phone? what phone is it? |

I don't quite understand. You're trying to dial out, right? You have a dial tone, right? "You can't dial out, it just sticks with the dial tone?" That's a tough one to decipher. Let's just narrow it down to "Can not dial out".
Ok, I have reviewed all my personal troubleshooting material and done several searches on the knowledge base. The only suggestion I can make for you is to replace your telephone.
Reebok is right. There is no condition in your PAP2 where you 1) Have a dial tone 2) Can receive calls 3) Have strange stuff happening when you try to call.
You will have to replace your telephone and see if the problem persists. |
