Thanks for asking. Pretty straightforward.
DSL modem to Linksys router. Linksys router has power light, ethernet light and internet light on, but phone light(s) are blank. Have reset, rebooted, etc. yet to no avail. My only peculiarity is that I am a Mac user, but don't think this should affect my service. Have internet service, yet no phone service. No ability to reach http://192.168.15.1 to alter any settings. Normally use this with an Airport wireless, but have pulled that off so as not to add any further potential conflicts.

No flashing power light. I asked Vonage to be certain they had the correct MAC number associated with the account. 2 days ago they did not, yet they claim they hade made the change over, yet it still doesn't work. I don't think it has anything to do with the local ISP as I continue to have Internet access...

k.
When I type in 192.168.15.1 in Firefox, the operation times out. When I do the same in Explorer, I get a "connection failure" notice.
I will try to call again.Last time I got all the way to a supervisor who said she would fix the problem and would call me within 3 hours if there were any further problems. No call. No fix. No one claims to know the supervisor...
I like Vonage, but this is getting a bit ridiculous.
Thanks for trying to help.

well I don't think anything on the router will fix your problem, so if you're ok with not being able to access it, that's fine. if you do want to access it, I'll continue...is the computer plugged directly into the Vonage device? dsl to rt31p2 to computer? and just to confirm, it is an rt31p2 and not a pap2 right?

Connection is DSL to Linksys RT31P2-VD to Macintosh computer. Lights on are: Power, Ethernet and Internet. Phone lights are dead. Ethernet and Internet intermittently flash rapidly. I can also switch back to using the router to the airport wireless to the computer, but assume that makes it more complicated.

you should be able to access it with that airport too without problem. questions are: have you ever been able to access it? could you have changed its ip? I know you said you've reset it, but have you done this reset:
unplug power, unplug phone cords, push and hold reset button, plug power back in while holding reset button, keep holing reset button for 15 seconds after powering back on. keep an eye on the power light, and don't plug the phones back in (or power the box off) until it stops blinking.
if nothing else, it's my understanding that this should reset the device back to its original IP (192.168.15.1) in case it did get changed.

Good to hear the airport is likely not an issue.
Not sure how to change the IP so I doubt I've done this.
In any case, I just restarted per your description. Power light is solid. Ethernet and Internet lights on and flashing quickly. No phone light. Still times out when I try to go to 192.168.15.1 Ughhh... When I did the reset, the Internet connection to PPPoE was lost and then regained. I think this is normal, but trying to provide all info just in case.

Try disabling any firewall software that you have on your computer and then try to access the router.
