Post subject: Wireless Internet
I have two computers in the house. Connected to a cable internet connection . I use a wireless router . How will i connect to
Vonage
? Can i connect my phone adapter to my wireless card in the PC or i have to connect the phone adapter to the wireless router only . I want to use to
Vonage
in the Basement i have a computer with a wireless card here the router is on the 4th floor. i have to connect a wire to the phone adapter on the fourth floor and run down to the basement ? or is there a way to connect the adapter to the PC in basement?

This will probably work fine.
You have two choices, you can purchase a wireless bridge and connect your adapter to that or, if you have a spare ethernet port on your computer, you can connect your adapter the computer and share the Internet connection.
I did this with my laptop running Windows XP Home, Internet Connection Sharing and my Motorola VT1000 adapter. Other adapters may take additional configuration.

Hi thanx for answering my question so quickly...i just got my phone adapter its a Linksys RT31P2 . Now i want to share my exsisting connectiong through the PC as u suggested .How do i do that. And shoudl i get a wireless accesspoint or ill be fine using the connection my computer uses through a Netgear wireless card .thanx .take care bye
