You may be in luck. The website now states that you can use *72/*73 to activate/deactivate call forwarding from your phone.

It seems as if Vonage is finally listening - ACR and DND are now being offered! See the post here: vonage-forum.com/ftopic19495.html" target="_blank">http://www.vonage-forum.com/ftopic19495.html

I just tried *77, and it works!

I tried it, too! Got a message about ACR being on this line.
Finally!
Now I am happy, and hopefully less annoyed by "Anonymous" calls.

[Loud applause] Thanks, Vonage!

Got it . . . seems to work as it's supposed to.

Thank you Vonage, but don't you think this should have been implemented A LOT sooner?

Now I want the ability to block specific numbers . . . like this one who called twice this weekend. I'm really tired of having to deal with scams* such as this.

*Reported to FTC twice

I did the "*77, 1" thing, waited for a few hours and called the Vonage number from another line after dialing "*67" first to block the number display. The call DID go through as "unknown," (number display) and "Out of area," (name display).
It seems that Vonage is implementing this feature, but it is not yet fully functional.

It is a start! Maybe Vonage will post a message on the website when the feature is available.

When you dial *77, you should get a message about ACR being off, and to dial 1 (or something) to turn it on. It's a little different that with other phone companies, but effective...

Yes, I did the *77, then dialed 1. I got a message "Anonymous Call Blocking is now active on this line."
When I called from a blocked number, it still went through as "unknown."

This might be a preliminary set-up thing. Seems that implementation is right around the corner.

It does work. Vonage has now taken care of my top 2 complaints. "Anonymous" calls are those which are marked private versus "Unknown" call which are those calls that have no caller ID information associated with them. ACR will only block anonymous or private calls. Unknown calls will still come through.

I actually came back to Vonage a year after leaving it behind because they were so slow implementing Anonymous Call Rejection. I switched to Lingo, because it had the feature, but my Lingo service wasn't as reliable. The device was very sensitive and was resetting far too often. (I would have to power everything down and power everything back up and wait for it to re-establish...) I would be in the middle of phone calls and then get a busy signal! I would be sitting in front of my computer on the internet and lose my connection because the Lingo device was resetting itself! Very frustrating, and necessitated a change.

The ironic part was that while I was on the phone trying to get a Vonage account opened (it took forever - their customer service is definitely inferior to Lingo's) I was calling from the Lingo phone and had to start all over again because the phone cut out and the moronic Vonage customer care person never called me back after the call was dropped.

I guess it's like the old saying goes: Price, quality, service... Choose any two!
