I am getting about 2-3 calls a day like this. They always hang up. It is creaping me out.

When I was a Bell South customer I could block these calls. I have asked Vonage about this feature twice now. They indicated that they provided no privacy features. One such call was forwarded to my cell phone. The guy refused to identify himself and demanded my name. (As IF Evil or Very Mad ) If I continue to get these unwanted calls I may go to another Voip or gulp go back to a copper line for a phone. Vonage don't make me leave!

From reading this forum it seems a little strange that Vonage doesn't implement ACR. Clearly this is a feature that has universal appeal and seems to be fairly standard in the telecom industry. It's a little like buying a car and finding out later they don't come with tires, but the dealer is working on that!

I am not certain tires are the best analogy. I would think that turn signals would be better. You can still drive the car, but it is annoying that every time you want to make a turn you have to roll down the window and stick your hand out.

Two things are required as a must
1. Anonymous call blocking
2. Ability to Block Specific Phone Numbers

I hope they implement these ASAP else they will be losing customers to the other Voip Providers who do provide this feature.

Ammmmazing, you guys are still talking about the SAME issues we (babyboomers close to retire) were talking YEARS ago on this forum. Better go with the major league boys. Play safe, sell your stocks.

ACR is my second most missed feature that I lost when I moved to Vonage. My most missed feature is the ability to activate/cancel call forwarding by dialing a feature code.

The best way to get Vonages attention on this topic is to switch to a Voip service that offers it. Lingo offers Anonymous call rejection (ACR) and their service is cheaper. I have been with Vonage from the beginning. If they do not work faster at improving there features I'm switching to Lingo. Confused

Watch out siloguy. The mention of another Voip company besides Vonage is not allowed on this forum. Even if Vonage is totally dropping the ball on basic features.

yea because they don't want you go somewhere else and drop them. I hate forms of control.
