I cant believe this, they deleted my posting. It was legit. Maybe i just hit to close to home. The only foreseeable reason they would do that i assume is because i am 100% right. Vonage dont be putting a bad taste in a new customers mouth already.

You need to read the rules.

Your post was a voip comparison to another service which does not have a home here.

At this point the lack of ACR is unacceptable. Every other VoIP provider offers this as part of their basic service.

I would love ACB. In the interum I installed a PBX in my house and turned on the Auto Attendant. The spam calls stopped. Their auto dialers don't know what to do with the auto attendant. The down side is my parents dont call anymore either because they also don' t know what to do with the auto attendant.

I have had ACR for almost a year now. I talked a rep into programming it for me. He let me pick the on/off numbers. *33 turns in on and *34 turns it off. It works flawlessly but I have to remember to turn it on if the power goes out.

One user said they were told by Vonage support that ACR will never be offered. I called to cancel my service because of the lack of ACR and the inability to block a specific phone number from calling my number, I was told both of these features were due out soon, and they gave me incentives to remain a customer. Here we are 6 months later, and still neither feature is available. Time to switch to another provider I believe. Or just use my mobile phone for all my calls.

I think the biggest thing holding back ACR for Vonage is the lack of outbound ID for them.

In other words, all Vonage customers show up as Anonymous to other people. My brother has Vonage, as do I. When we call each other on our Vonage service, we show up as anonymous to each other. the same goes for anyone else we call. If they have caller ID, we show up as anonymous. If Vonage implemented ACR today, all Vonage customers would be blocked from one-another!

Obviously this is something that has to be fixed at their end first. It's likely a rather large project, and that's why the delay.

It soulds like you have Caller ID Blocking enabled. If I call Vonage to Vonage, I get both name and number delivered in Caller ID. If I call Vonage to anything else, I get the proper Caller ID number delivered (without the leading 1 - which is normal).
