Well... 2 days ago I just had enough of waiting for my port to take place. yes, i was on business day 21 2 days ago, and yes i had a tentative date (3/17), but i just didn't trust the whole process and haven't heard anything (other than contacting customer service).
I decided to file my complaints to the fcc & state utility commission, and low & behold I just got confirmation my port has been accepted and is ready to be transferred a week from now... and it is only 3/16. I figured the complaint had to do something considering I didn't hear anything for over a month!
i realize i am not out of the woods yet, but for some reason I have a feeling this complaint sped this thing up. thanks for listening...
now the wait continues... for anyone who cares - i can follow up once this is completely done.... |

not to burst your bubble about the complaint but, I dont think they act that fast. I think Vonage has just lived up to their expectation of MIN 20 business days. i got the notice of my tentative date one day prior to carrier accepting the transfer. So the message you got before you file the complaint was authentic and they were really going to do it.
with your situation, i think props go out to Vonage. and not FCC. |

the email you got had nothing to do with the complaint ...
Vonage is not governed by the FCC therefore the FCC can do nothing about your number transfer. |
