Post subject: fax with the ata thingamajig
I am rather new to these gadgets...
I just purchased one of them all in wonder printer fax scanner coffee maker thing a bob’s can I just plug my phone line for my FAX machine directly in to this ata thingy? I have been using E-fax but I am sick of paying for the extended services to send faxes.

yes, though my understanding is that only one of the rj-11 connections is live. So you may have to put a splitter on the "thingy."

Just a basic Radio Shack phone line splitter will do. Plug it into the first port on the
Vonage
Cisco ATA-186 and you should be all set with your fax and coffee...
