I am really frustrated trying to contact Vonage customer service. If you have to be on hold for over an hour each time that you call you need to hire more damn people...for real. I have tried to call them at least 5 times and have never gotten through, plus never received answers via e-mail. Hopefully this forum can help.
My problem is that I cannot get the service to connect. It worked fine for about a month, then the "phone" light went out on the router and you cannot make outgoing calls. There is a dial tone, but you cannot make calls. My cable modem is connected to the router, then the router is connected to the computer when it was working correctly. The only thing different with the set-up is that I used to have a USB cord running from the cable modem to the computer but the one time I did get to talk to a rep he told me that I didn't need it so I took it off. The service continued to work fine for about another 3 weeks...but now has not worked for at least 6 weeks. I am going to cancel this pathetic service if someone can't help me, this is rediculous.
Hopefully I will hear from someone soon.

Vonage pushed some firmware upgrades around the timeframe your router died. You will need a replacement device and will have to call Vonage for it.
Alternatively, you can try messaging one of the Vonage reps on here (jdr30 or ssantana) but they tend to b busy and waiting on hold may be faster.
If you get through you can demand they overnight the router. They have done it for others.
