Post subject: T1 line, linksys router, multiple ATA
I am getting a full t-1 line for our business, (1.535 mb) and want to connect about 10
Vonage
ATA's to it. We are using a Linksys router to serve as NAT and DHCP services for the network (192.168.*.*). Our T1 provider has assigned us 26 IP addresses, but we would be only using 1 to assign the Linksys router with.
Will we be encountering any problems with this setup? Is there a limit to the number of ATA's we can run behind the Linksys router? I read someone saying that only 4 ATA per router...?
Thanks for your help.

It won't be our main line, but we want to use it extensively.
Anyone put multiple ATA behind their Linksys router?

i have a thought for you instead of using a linksys where you will have issues and not use one IP i have solution for you
check out
www.netmax.com
they ofer a linux based server solution this server acts as a nat router i am usning my vonages service behind this and not having any issues what so ever Plus you can asign the server all 24 IP addresses this would free up some bandwidth
