I just got off the phone with Willy.... Now this guy was cool to talk to, but was he drunk or high? Anyone at Vonage know this guy? LMAO.. Anyhow, he stated that Verizon gave them a tentative date of 3/15/05 for my transfer.... Thing is, I just called Verizon yesterday, and they claimed that they STILL did not have the LOA.... Someone is lieing to me.... I guess we shall see on the 15th. I also told him about the 8 month horror stories on porting, and he said that it was a ploy by these big companies so that I wont port my number... LMAO. That i shouldnt read these forums, that it will just turn me away from Vonage service. Well no kidding!

Well, Vonage has given me three dates now stating when the port will happen, and they've all come and gone with no action and no explanation.

Meanwhile, my friend gets Vonage to escalate his LNP and it gets done the next day (http://www.vonage-forum.com/ftopic4280.html).

It's interesting that Vonage always says it's someone else's fault, but then when it came down to it, they had the ability to get his done immediately.

I sent in my LOA on JAN 26 and still waiting. I have been able to get credit for my Vonage account for all the time after 20 business days. I have had a tentative transfer date of March 8th that came and went with no change. Called Vonage next day and they were going to "escalate" my LNP and contact me. No word from Vonage, however I did notice on my SBC account that "a service" was ordered on the 9th and is due to be completed on the 15th. I am hoping that it is my LNP request. We will see

Well, called Vonage again last night, and I said, "well i got a tentative date for my transfer yesterday, but dont quite remember what it was, could you please let me know?" ... and the guy says that there is no tentative date on my account. I told him that Willy had told me that and he says,"oh that doesnt surprise me"... So one lie after another... IM SICK OF IT! This is ridiculous to lie to your customers time and time again. Boy, can't wait till they are regulated, at least then, letters and phone calls WILL matter and/or make a difference.

Guess What I got...

We are pleased to inform you that your request to transfer from your current carrier to Vonage was accepted on March 14, 2005. The process of moving your number to Vonage is almost complete.

Your expected transfer date is March 15, 2005.

When the transfer is complete we will inform you immediately by email.

Thank you for your business.

We will see what happens tomorrow!?

UPDATE::::::::::

It would appear that my number has been ported... Preliminary tests would indicate that my number works... Now I don't know if my POTS line was disco'ed because it was at my apartment that I had to move out from last week. I still see "Transfer in Progress" in my dashboard, and my virtual number still works.... Any ideas?

AT THIS POINT, I WISH TO RETRACT ALL STATEMENTS I MADE ABOUT WILLY. Embarassed

Now maybe Willy was right.... maybe these forums ARE indeed ran by the "big dogs"..... LMAO Lol
