First I'll say I love the idea behind Vonage. Especially the technology and the portablitiy of taking the ATA around. I don't mind the negatives involved. I expect them working in the computer industry.
So anyway I been a user since April when I first learned of Vonage and it was available anywhere I jumped right in and bought it.
I've had seconds thoughs since day one. I have a cell phone that i never use. I haven't had a home phone in years ( too expensive and too much BS) especially for me since i barely use the phone. But I bought the service and used the heck out of it. (well at least for me it was a lot seeeing how i never use the phone) I loved it. How great I thought. But i quickly stopped using it throwing away the money every month using hardly any minutes. So I switched to the limited plan for the 26. I didnt want to cancel and pay the d/c fee (im cheap)
So i've continued to pay the 26$ and still not use it. The other day I ran across the box for the ata and though HEY I CAN CANCEL and not pay the fee ( or get credited for it) and yes i have the paperwork i've had that all along.
As I said i like the service. But im pretty much wasting my money. If I could get a local or semi local number I would get more use out of it but the little i do talk on the phone is people callign me and they arent about to call ld numbers.
Guess I'll just cancel. Maybe.... anyone have any good reasons I shouldn't know any secrets of new numbers or more cool features.
