Hi all,
I'm a newbie here... with some newbie questions...
I just installed Vonage at my house, and I was curious if there is a software
program available that will allow my caller ID to pop up on my computer
screen.
If anyone has something like this... PLEASE point me in the right direction!
Thanks a ton!! |

From what I see.. most of these work through the 56K Modem in your computer... I was hoping to just use the existing Ethernet line coming from my Vonage adapter.
Guess thats out of the question? |

For the average person, it is not easy. You need extensive networking and programming knowledge. This topic was just discussed earlier this week. Look around a little bit and you will find it. |

Another approach is to setup an old PC as a linux firewall - which will also do Call-ID over the LAN. See www.clarkconnect.org
Side benefit, you get a stateful firewall, ability to host FTP or webserver and a photo server. |
