The international lines are always busy. I can get to the same international number in one attempt through my regular line. It has been more than a month since I started this service and so far I have been unable to connect to an international number. Also, I never get a response through the online Contact Us form other than an automated response.
Is anyone else out there having the same problems? Thank you |

Ofcourse and my account is active and the dues are paid. I always get the same message "All international lines to the country you are dialing are busy. Please try again after some time.". I have tried calling at different hours. |

Wow, that's not good news. What country are you calling? Maybe someone helpful whose service works perfectly could try calling that number just for kicks? |

I am trying Bangalore, India. Although for obvious privacy reasons I cannot post the number I am trying on this forum. |

No I wouldn't expect you to post it, but if someone would be willing to try it, you can send it to them in a private message. |

Understand the posting of the number issue, would never dream of asking for it. For my 2c worth i've just tried to call a number in bangalore (91) (80) 210 xxxx and got the same message. |

I just talked to tech support. He said the carrier they are using in India is replacing/adding switches, hence the issue. He also said the lines may be busy because of the low rates and that it may takes 10-15 tries. He said it may be a few weeks before they are done. I told him I have been trying for over a month and have given more than 20 tries each time and still wasn't able to get through and his response was he cannot help. I asked him if they can put a status on the notice board or inform the customers when the upgrade is done and he said 'no'. The last thing he mentioned really got my attention. He said even after the carrier is done upgrading I shouldn't expect much improvement because the traffic will always be high. Looks like I will have to continue with MCI or calling cards. The main reason I got Vonage was to make international calls since I didn't want to dial a gazillion numbers in a calling card. I will probably terminate the Vonage service since I can live with my cell phone for all my non-international calls. |
