Any suggestions?
I am able to make calls out no problem. Wehn an incoming call comes in, my phone rings for half a ring, then stops ringing.
Also, can the phone port you are using for Vonage have splitters for another phone? Might be a dumb question...... |

splitters have been discussed a few times, search for it. when someone calls your number, does it ring about once then go to voicemail? or does it ring several times then go to voicemail but your phone only has a half ring? |

It rings a half on ring at the house, then stops. People who call say it does NOT go to voicemail. Itried from my cell several times and it makes the house phone ring a half a ring then my cell phone acts like a dropped call....no voicemail.... |

is your voicemail setup? what I'm trying to get at is this: many people have had problems with caller id appearing then disappearing and ringers that would barely ring. the fix is for Vonage to up the voltage output of the device. does this sound like your problem? how does a cell phone "act like a dropped call"? |

hmmm...my voicemail is setup....people actually left a message yesterday before I had my line setup.
Cell phone drops a call: All of a sudden the cell phone acts like you hung up or pressed the 'End' key.
I have had about 4 people try to call the house today. They all said that they thought something was wrong with their phone. I informed them what was going on here. I have successfully called out and made a phone call, so I know I'm getting close. |

you had your Vonage box powering your house lines without disconnecting them? |

I just had the same thing happen to me. I needed to disconnect the outside line from my old phone company. HOWEVER, I was told I would not need to do this until my old phone number transferred over. Vonage told me that the incoming calls would come over the old network, and my outgoing calls would go out over vonage!!! That don't work! Anyone know how to get that to work??? |
