I really like how threads /w to much anti-vonage
talk are locked.

I guess though with all the unhappy customers and
everyone was allowed to express there true feelings,
the web site would be overwhelmed with traffic.

the point of the forum is users helping other users, not to waste everyone's time because the umpteenth person today has to put their 2 cents in about how much cs ****. we all know it ****. post your issues if you want people here to try to help you, or go complain elsewhere.

I agree with you completely! Too many people want to complain and that is not what this forum is about. This forum is in place to help people and to find answers. We can bounce ideas off one another and be constructive. All the negative posts are just bringing down the forum. Please go elsewhere!

Well the title of the forum is "Vonage® Voip Forum - Vonage News, Reviews And Discussion" and complaining would seem to fall under discussion. But our gracious host has also made it clear in the "Forum Rules" thread and by his actions that this isn't the place to come to have a good cry.

I don't blame newbies too much for wanting to gripe. You guys who've never had a problem with Vonage can't possibly imagine the frustration involved in just trying to get someone to answer the phone, much less getting your actual problems resolved. But this isn't the place for that.

Now I wonder if someone started a site like www.vonage-****.com, how long would it take before it outgrew this site?

DentalRep, why do you just insist on baiting people with issues? Calling them dumb, uninformed, etc. is immature and unnecessary.

For one thing, signing up for Vonage IS research. It's one thing to read about something and quite another to actually experience it.

Second, it doesn't matter how much research you do, if you get a bad router, Vonage ports the wrong phone number, a firmware update kills your adapter or something else goes wrong in the process--how is that the customer's fault? How much research or intelligence would have prevented those issues?

It's awesome that your service works so well. I wish you could celebrate that without finding so much joy in insulting anyone else whose experience has been less than perfect.

I am not addressing the people that have legit problems and issues that are looking for help. This was directed to those that are like "What do you mean that I can't call 911 when the power is out?" or "They won't transfer my number out? I can't believe they are not regulated!". More importantly it is directed at those that complain for the sake of complaining.

This site is NOT Vonage or is it run by Vonage, so pointless whining gets nowhere but on the nerves that need help or want to give help. My service has had many road-bumps on the way and sure I have been p***ed waiting over two hours for customer service but me bit**ing about it won't help anyone. So instead of being the glass is half empty guy, I choose to look at the positives.

If anything, you baited me into spinning the website into something a little more humerous and obvious.

If you take the time to look at the original post you will see that some people are NOT asking for help or are they giving any. Maybe I do not have as much of a tolerance, asyou, for those that do not post here because they are in the need of help. I personally have children, so I hear enough whining already. I am also in a managerial positon where I stress the importance of not complaining unless you have the solution or a constructive idea that will help others.

Then there is the whole idea about the innocent ignorant consumer that did not become an informed buyer. Look into to see if it meets your needs before you jump on board and complain on the forum everyday.

Now I am taking my own advise and refuse to waste any more of this forum on a non-issue.
