Post subject: Home phone wiring in a new home
I'll be moving into a newly built house shorlty and was wondering if I should be able to plug right into the phone jacks and go without having to touch the Bell box? I would imagine if its a new house which never had been connected to a Bell outside line, then I'd be ready to go right away?
I still plan on checking the box just to make sure there isn't a connection tp be safe, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has already gone through phone wiring setup for
Vonage
in a brand new home?

I am not positive, but I am pretty sure that all homes are wired to Bell regardles of whether or not you are goign to have service, this just makes it easier for if the new owner wants Bell, they can just pick up a phone connected to the line and dial 310-BELL and get service set up..
I'd be sure to check it..
