My local carrier is Cox. When I can get through to Vonage, they usually tell me that they've sent the transfer request, and they're waiting on my carrier to release the number. When I call Cox, they tell me that they've never received a transfer request. I finally got a hold of a lead at Vonag last night that told me that my number is actually owned by XO, and they're waiting on XO to release the number. When I called Cox tonight verify this, they verified that Cox owns my number, and Cox is my LRN, not XO.
I don't have time to spend two hours on the phone every night trying to reach the LNP department, and waiting on hold for supervisors. What can I do to get this done? |

The hold up as I found out is XO. The person who I have to go through is Paetec. So as of now (according to Vonage and not Paetec) Vonage is waiting on Paetec to send the info to my POTS provider (Verizon). These companies obviously have their own business to conduct and we (Vonage customers) get left behind for months at a time in most cases. |
