I wasn't aware that they gave a rebate for the full amount of the adapter. In that case, then yes I would also not mind sending it back.
I have the Motorola VT1005 adapter which was ordered several months ago. I think May 2005. Sometime after that they stopped distributing the Motorola box. |

I am not sure since I have not owned any other adapter except for the Motorola VT1005.
My friend received a LinkSys adapter from Vonage last month, and there is a slight high-pitched hum on his line using that adapter. I have heard that there are noise problems with the LinkSys adapters, but I do not know if this problem has been fixed. The noise on my friend's is not all that bad. You can notice it, but it is not overpowering. My adapter emits no background buzz or noise at all. It's just as clear as my line was with Bell Canada, in fact it may even been clearer. People seem louder since I joined Vonage. I can tell you that I have never had one problem with my Motorola adapter and hope that it continues to work. |

my linksys doesn't have hardly any noise at all, actually I never noticed there was anything till i reado nt hsi board that there may be noise, so i listened closely and heard a little something, but it's barely there at all, I must have got a good one, cuz I dont' have to have a phone in Line 2, or a shorted plug.. |

Likewise, my friend can only slightly hear it too. It is not dead silence like mine, but it is acceptable. Maybe the next patch that Vonage sends out to this routers will completely fix the problem.
The benefit of the LinkSys adapter is it allows you to plug in more than just one computer. The Motorola adapter only has 1 outgoing ethernet port. |

Also, I was told that I own the adaptor in this case and would not have to give anything back to them. If you go through the online setup without having purchased a retail package, you must pay roughly $90 for setup and you don't get to keep your adaptor in case you cancel. |
Nice. I wish I knew about this 3 days ago when I ordered online.... |
