Post subject: Phones That Work List
folks:
Got new panasonic phones last week. Now we have a beeping tone being transmitted to people when they call us. Service says it is probably the phones but they aren't sure. We've been through four different desk phones and are on our second cordless. The list from
Vonage
of ones they know don't work is fairly small. I have two to add to it as a result of the beeping.
So can anybody please tell me which phones you have, both corded and cordless that work with:
1. Caller ID and Caller ID Call Waiting
2. Call Waiting (no three-way calls when you don't want them!)
3. Voice Mail Stutter Tone
No odd, errant beeping when you're talking to somebody. If you have it, they'll ask you if you're pressing a button on your handset. You don't hear it.
Thanks!
Laurel

I'm using a Panasonic KX-TG2238S with
Vonage
with no problems. I just wish
Vonage
sent names with the CID so that the Talking CID on the phone would say more then "Number Available" when I get calls.

I have Motorola MD481. Works great. I even have the message waiting indicator working and can check voicemail right from the headset menu - trully awesome - though I have no clue how it is all working - worked right out of the box.

Hmm, I thought I had posted something about the Motorola myself, but it's vanished. We got one last night. So far so good. We got the MD451 and am using it today for the first time. Am still trying to decide if we'll keep the 2.4 GHZ or trade it back in for the 5.8 GHZ. CompUsa has them in stock now and you can expand that system to 6 handsets instead of 4.
Other part of my message was don't get GE 2-9393GE1 corded 1-line phone with call waiting caller id. it automatically transfers you to the call that beeps in. Still hunting a good 1-line corded desk phone with call waiting caller ID that works well and has good storage of numbers.
