Post subject: WinFax with modem & ATA 186?
I used to use Winfax Pro via my modem & land lines to send faxes. Of course now that I have
Vonage
and no SBC line I havent been able to do that.
Could I (havent tried it yet) just connect my modem line output to the other ATA phone port? My modem would then just dial (adding the 1 in front of numbers) into the ATA like a regular phone and send faxes via
Vonage
without the xtra $ for a fax line?
Would this work? Anyone tried?

The second port is dead unless you sign up for a second line or fax line with
Vonage
. You can send and receive faxes fine on line 1.
