Vonage is very receptive and eager to hear feature requests from their customers. Perhaps if we can enumerate some of them here and multiple customers ask them about offering them, many voices might work better and/or faster than one.
Some features or options that I would like to see:
Frequently called number list(s) in the dashboard. With 11-digit dialing for all numbers, it can get tedious. While many telephones offer memory storage of phone numbers in the phone itself, it would be nice to maintain a list that could be changed at anytime on the control panel. Many telcos offer this as speed dialing and use the codes *74 for 8-number lists and the code *75 for 30-number lists.
Talking call-waiting or voice announce - callers are greeted by a recording and asked to record their name. Then the call is placed, and when answered, you hear their name. You then can choose to take the call or allow it to forward to voicemail.
Multiple folders on the voicemail dashboard. Right now there's the main folder and trash. It would be nice to create different folders to sort and file voicemail messages. We can certainly do that locally on our machines, but it would be nice to keep some voicemail messages online and sorted in folders where they could be found easily from anywhere we have access to the web.
Voicemail reminder service - record a voicemail message to ourselves and configure a future date and time to deliver the voicemail reminder to our voicemail box. |

Here's a feature that we have on our SBC phone that we LOVE. It mostly ended the marketing calls to our home number:
Privacy Manager
What It Does Stops unidentified callers before your phone rings and provides you with options in the event if don't want to talk. Privacy Manager is a call screening service that works with Caller ID to identify all incoming calls that have no telephone numbers. Incoming calls identified as Anonymous, Unavailable, Out Of Area or Private are requested to identify themselves in order to complete the call.
Benefits
- More control over incoming phone calls - Stops telemarketing calls without having to write a written request or talk to them - Enhances the value of Caller ID services - Provides the functionality of Anonymous Call Rejection |

clss: Very valid point, Vonage does listen and react. Also, excellent suggestions for service enhancements. It opened my eyes to a few applications that I had not thought of. |

I have that also, it is great. The ONLY problem I have ever had with it, is when I receive international calls and the calling party (on their Euro) must go through the bells and whistles to get through to me. |

Do Vonage folks read these forums to look for issues/feature ideas? |

I am new to Vonage we just hooked it up a week ago. The one feature that I am really missing is privacy manager. I really utilized when I was still with SBC. Although not having it is not a problem I would love to see it offered as I could screen telemarketing calls that way. |

How about Anonymas Call Rejection so that we can know who is calling us. And better support for modem based equipment like TIVOs and Home Alarm Systems. If we could get these features I would be happier than a puppy with two.... |

Anonymous Call Rejection and the ability to change the caller ID information on calls I regularly receive - instead of "Wireless Caller" and the number I want to be able to configure it to display "Jon Cell Phone" for instance. |

I would like to see at least one additional email space (in the voicemail section) so when a voicemail is received both me and my wife can be both notified. Right now I am the only one sent an email and I think it would be nice if she could be sent an email to her address also. |
