Im a Infinitum user located in Mexicali, BC and im experiencing the same probs. Was wondering if anyone has found a way to bypass this filters. I got a PAP2. Anyone has figured out a way to tunnel the traffic thru a proxy/vpn ?? Guess if there is no way i could have to switch to another provider like broadvoice :/

ˇHey, don't be "tonto"!
Take it from a reformed, righteous ranter. Dan Connor is someone who can help, and wants to help. But he needs your help.
Go to your personal page, and in the signature block list your ISP along with the equipment that you are using.
Perhaps JDR30 is off sick the last few days. LET THE FORUM HELP YOU.

Post subject: South of the border problems
I originally thought that Telmex was blocking ports, but have changed my mind over the last few days... During early morning hours and weekend, I have gotten calls through - The ports are not blocked, just packet disruption. Seems to be happening on all UDP traffic - VPN logon disrupted and inpossible most of the time... Only is effective on outgoing traffic... I would think that big corporations would really complain about their sites not being able to make VPN connections...
Using the
Vonage
speed test, I get acceptable thruputs, but most of the time I can't get a call thru - but sometimes, I can... The symptoms are that there is a bad network segment somewhere from here to the USA that is delaying or disrupting packets... On testyour
voip
.com, I get 75-85% packet loss in outgoing - 0% on incoming... If Telmex was blocking ports, it would be a lot more defined ans DEAD, and probably all of the time!!
I am connected on a Telmex infinitum 512kb ADSL, Linksys BEFSX41 router and a
Vonage
Cisco-186 ATA... If anybody knows how to locate the node on the internet that is causing the disruption, please advise.
