here's my setup, my modem and first router are upastairs in my bro's apartment.. al I have down here is my RT31P2 and my computer.. my bro sits upstairs and plays PS2 games all day/night long.. LoL..
my connection works perfectly! my bro and I were on the phone the other day and we were both running speed tests and he had his PS2 going and we never had a glitch in the phone sound or anything..

My bandwidth saver is at 90, and my QOS i set at 384 not that it does much since there's only one computer hooked to it.

I do not have any DMZ set up, I have DHCP on both routers, no static Ip's nothing.. actually i took my RT31P2 out of the box, got my bro to shut everythign off and I plugged it in, then started to power things on and it worked great, never changed a thing! Smile

OK, a little better.
20 resets later, this is what I have now.
My Results
Download 1,062,880 bps
Upload 509,744 bps
QOS 52%
RTT 62 ms
MaxPause 266 ms

Nat : ON
DR : OFF
SR : OFF
All MAC filter settings ON, DDNS : OFF
QOS

App: Off
Port: OFF
Phone: On and 256.

Let me know if I'm heading toward a cliff or something. Looks like the right direction though.

My set up is as follows:

RR(SE WISCONSIN) 5M down / 385k up
|
Moto SB4100
|
RT31P2--Phone line 1 (firmware 1.27)
-----------Phone line 2
|
USR8054--wired PC1
------------wired PC2
------------wired XBOX
------------wireless PC3
------------wireless PC4

Pros: Phone service is not affected by computers or XBOX
Cons: XBOX and oneline computer games lag at times if both phone lines are being used (which is most of the time).

I originally had it set up this way:

RR(SE WISCONSIN) 5M down / 385k up
|
Moto SB4100
|
USR8054--wired PC1
------------wired PC2
------------wired XBOX
------------RT31P2--Phone line 1 (firmware 1.27)
-----------------------Phone line 2
------------wireless PC3
------------wireless PC4

This set up worked, but whenever one of my kids would play XBOX Live or downloading a large file from the net, the phone quality would take a nose dive and become VERY choppy.

Bandwith Saver is/was at 90 for both set ups
QOS is at 384

It's hard to keep everyone happy in the house since something has to suffer. Any suggestion on how I can improve this?

See my posting here. I didn't want to hijack this thread with requests for testing.

Speedstream 5260 bridge modem *ADSL*
|
|
Netgear RP614V1 *PPOE enabled/UPNP enabled*
|
|
Two PC's ports 1 and 2 on RP614
|
|
RT31P2 port 3 on RP614 *QOS set to 512 and obtains IP automatically*
-remote Upgrade enabled

still not one dropped call or total router reboot with these settings, recently started using my RP614 again with above set up and still good. Recent issue now not hearing caller when picking up the tele and they cannot hear me...takes second effort for success. I am sure this started before adding my Netgear back in the mix.

Heck, I don't even know what settings you want me to check.

It just works.
