I had to vote yes. My LOA was received and sent to QWest the carrier that I have on Jan 16th and I have yet to get my number transferred. So that is what 110 days now. Unfortunately I referred someone to Vonage. To top it off QWest decided to change my long distance service for me. So my bill went from $35 per month to $45 and I can't get mad and cancel it or I loose my number. I also have had that number for ten years. Also you have to keep bugging them to give you credit for the month or they won't do it. I had 2 Customer Service Reps say that I would receive credit for each month until my number was transferred, but I didn't bug them about it one time that I called and so I didn't get credited for that month. Good thing I had a referral credit, but that is now used up. I don't think that was worth the bugging I got from them for recommending Vonage though. It took them 3 months to get their number transferred and they didn't get any credits for the time they waited. |

Yes. I called a week ago after waiting 4 months for transfer, got a guy who seemed to know way more detail than any of the other reps I called, was told that my number would be ported in a few days (a week to be safe). Girlfriend was skeptical, but I told her this time I think the guy was sincere. Well, a week later and no change in the status. I guess I've once again been fed a line of bull to get me off the phone. What a way to do business. |

Started the whole process Jan 17th. It's now May 7th and three calls to Vonage. I'm still waiting?!?!?! Guy seemed real nice and in the know, but the proof is in the pudding. I think not knowing who is really responsible for such a long wait really stinks. My phone reception with SBC has been bad for years and they won't fix the problem because it would mean ripping out the connection bar in the backyard. Horrible hum and when it rains and sometimes no phone service. They clean the connections and mumble something about redoing the bar and leave. I have no choice but to wait until this whole mess is over. Stuck between a rock and a hard place..... |

I am PLEASED to be voting "no problem" today! I had a 13-business-day port (Apr 24 LOA to May 11 active.) Vonage website doesn't yet show tranfer complete and Qwest line is not yet disconnected, but all incoming calls now ring thru Vonage! (Qwest, Logan, Utah)
I couldn't be happier - Kudos to Vonage... at 15,000 new lines a week, I don't know how they keep up, but they did with me. I did not make one call or e-mail to Vonage or qwest, it just happened! I was very careful to provide EXACT matching info to the Qwest bill. Good luck to the rest, I hope more go thru this quickly! |

Going on 90 days here in San Antonio (home of SBC). Sent in my LNP form on February 13. Requested a status last month and was creditied a month on my bill with explanation that my LNP was being expedited. Asked for an update yesterday and Vonage said it was supposed to happen on that day and they had no idea what was up, and would check with their local carrier. The local Time Warner digital phone customers I know got theirs transfered in hours to days, not months! |

I think they'll tell you anything just to get you off the phone -- this is the second time I've been lied to with the "your number should transfer in a few days." |

Anyone who is having issues with your lnp process, pm me with either your accnt# or the phone# you are trying to transfer. I will try to either get you a transfer date or have a status request put in for you. Now if I am inundated with messages please give me some time. I will get to all pm's as quickly as possible. |

I voted no. Started transfer process on May 11th and completed on May 23rd. No problems. Easy process. Only minor glitch was the voice mail access number initially was a long distance call from the house next door, but customer care took care of that on the 1st call to them. I attribute that minor glitch to the multiple overlying area codes for my geographic region. One might think that you always call into the same area code for your voice mail rather than in my actual correct case of calling into another overlaid area code as a local call. Although, it was initially inconvenient, the 1st voice mail number was technically a logical choice. |

aboat2, who was your carrier prior to Vonage? I jealous of your speedy port. |
