G'day All,
Why does it so long to get the LOA into the system. Granted it has only been since 3/4/05.

I've tried that... The first time right after I sent it... The tech attempted to locate it but could not. Now, when I get through, I keep getting "maybe tomorrow"...

Don't feel bad. Mine was suppossedly sent Feb 8th and nothing. I even called Paetec (the ones taking care of the port) and they say that Vonage hasn't even sent it to them yet. I called cust. service today to check status on the port, and was literally yelled at by the Vonage rep. "we are not regulated so it will take a lot longer than the minimum 20 days." Hope you didn't leave POTS for customer service, because the Vonage customer service is very lame. I think everyone would agree to that. |

I'm transferring a secondary phone line. So my main number is still a POTS line. Looks like the new number that I was given worked. Vonage received it in a little over 4 hours. Hopefully the actual transfer will go alot smoother.

The LOA may have been sent, but when Vonage recieves the faxes, they then need to be processed and entered into our system. I've noticed most go thru, but because of the 1000's recieved daily, don't print correctly, get damaged, or even lost. It's unfortunate but true. The best advise is that if you don't get a confirmation email in 48 hr(2 biz days) resend. |
