Seems every time you turn around, voicemail has a problem. What's up with that?
Vonage ought to just say they can't provide voicemail, and we'll all just put answering machines on our phone lines.
So far I have had my outgoing greeting deleted twice, with no fallback to a generic greeting... callers just got beeps. No notice to us subscribers, non-existant. Just learn about it by lots of people hanging up on your voicemail.
Now voicemail is suddenly down again?! Vonage, just say you can't provide reliable voicemail and let the rest of us get on with connecting answering machines! |

While I admit that my post comes off a tad terse, I have to point out that this is a service I am paying for. Even still today, on-line access to voicemail has remained down all this time.
I submit that when these outages occur, notification to us by Vonage is not a lot to ask for. Maybe it is a lot to ask for, in which case I'm just ignorant. But in the absence of any notification, especially in the case of zapped out-going greetings, irrate posts from customers should not be completely unexpected.
This is one of those issues that Vonage has complete control over. In fairness to Vonage, call-in access to voicemail has been restored, and that was done pretty quickly. Nevertheless, one wonders what in the world accounts for these voicemail outages in one form or another. No explanation being provided tends to make one feel stressed out |
