Which router has the best Quality of Service (QoS)?

Much of the forum is taken up with sudden death issues of the router. Perhaps both are a piece of dirt.

Does Vonage have an idea of the extent of the dissatisfaction with its clients?

Let's see what 10 days of voting will do.

Somewhere, I started a poll. Darned if I know where it is, though.

You wont' get an accurate poll here. The majority of people don't start scrambling for a forum until they've had issues and couldn't resolve them. Hence, an unfair percentage of the people here, myself included, came here because we were ticked off and couldn't get help elsewhere.

I bet the VAST majority of Vonage customers are off enjoying their Voip, not posting here.

I have a RT31P2 and have had no problems once I finally got it running with help from this forum.

All I get from tech support number is busy signal once I get so far in the qeue.
I really want this to work because it is affordable.

Download 768,720 bps
Upload 460,000 bps
QOS 73%
RTT 120 ms
MaxPause 453 ms

There is my score.

I am using the Linksys RT31p2
1.27.01 firmware version
I use the linksys alone no other router.
I plugged it in waited five minutes and it worked.
BUT
The quality is choppy and cuts out.

I have only been using it for 24 hours and am already disappointed.
Is there some configuring I need to do??
Should I buy another adapter and if so which one is recommended??

Based on that MaxPause score, I'm surprised it works at all. You broadband provider has some issues.

Should I even try another adapter or do you guys think this is strickly an ISP problem??

What is a max pause??

Maybe I can get help from my ISP on this if I knew what to discuss.

If you do think I could try another adapter which one do you think I could try?

Based on the forum threads, I would look at Packet 8 or ATT Vantage, or Tiime Warner, etc. at the first sign of trouble.

Tell the cable company you are experiencing high jitter and latency on your connection.
