I have tried numerous firmwares and all seem the same in middle of a call with no warnign the caller cnat hear me anymore I can hear them but they cant hear me? I have a BEFR81 laying around would that work better or what would be the problem of the callers not hearing me? Also they are hearing themselves alot...its a call to NY btw im in VT so shouldnt be a latency issue

Use Sveasoft Rc6a, enable bandwidth managment, emule/edonkey is a service you can pick. Choose it and label it for bulk priority.

Configure your Vonage adapter and prioritize by physical port, mac address and IP and set them all to premium.

Reboot the WRT Problem solved.

I use emule all the time and never have issues.

I agree with aspectec:

After replacing my Moto with anpther moto early on my "one side drops" were minimized.

After upgrading my firmware to Sveasoft rc6 and setting the Q0S setting in the new formware properly, I have not had a SINGLE call breakup.

heres a good one for you guys..I have 256 tested to 230 usually up i set Vonage for 90 and emule for 80 ok so I know my upstream shouldnt be over saturated but when emules running and i do a Voip test I get more packet loss and my max pause is 350ms and qos is 44% or there abouts..when emule not running I get only a 45ms max pause 99% qos and no packet loss odd isnt it?

No, its not odd at all. That would be a normal occurrence unless you had a bandwidth manager running like the one that exists in the Sveasoft firmware.

In the case you mentioned, if you had the site that does the testing (Ports, services etc) prioritized over your emule app the results would have been much different.

I had bandwith management on...with Voip as prioraty via IP and as SIP service...plus if Im not over saturating the upstream the Voip test should be same with emule running or not...

no it shouldn't. especially when you're dealing with pings, anytime you use your connection, your ping and latency will increase. will it be enough to affect your Voip line? only experimentation will tell.

Are you using the Sveasoft firmware?

Here is my config btw.

everything tagged premium is the RT31P2. Some of the settings are probably repetitive but I put them in anyhow.
