Post subject: phone answering // redirecting choice
Hi, this isnt for use with
Vonage
but actually for a friend who runs a small business. But it's phone related and internet related and from the people here if anywhere will be able to help me.
Basically what we want is a toll free number that people call when they call it they will have the following
Thank you for calling (business name) if your calling for assistance in the denison area please press 1. If your calling for assistance in the storm lake area please press 2. If this is not an emergency and you would like to leave us a message please press 3.
Pressing 1 will transfer the person to a specified number
Pressing 2 will transfer the person to another number
Pressing 3 will transfer to a voice mail (not necessarily part of the system)
Basically they want one number for the business (for advertising reasons and simplicity) something low cost that will always get the person calling in touch with the proper person.
There are only two "guys" one in storm lake and one in denison. Right now they just have pagers and cell phones and call the people back. but rather then have 4 numbers published this would allow them to publish one number which would always get the person assistance.
Anyone know any sites / services like this. and no they dont want to purchase all the equipment and whatnot. jsut want something like gosolo.com except where the customer choses an option for location.
THANKS

Post subject: try gotvmail
I've been using
http://www.gotvmail.com
for about 3 months. They "give" you an 800 number and you can setup different mailboxes all of which point to either a box or will call forward to wherever you want.
The biggest issue is all calls have to go through the 800 number so that you pay per minute. They do not / will not give you a regular toll number.
So far I've been pretty impressed. I like not having a lot of hardware to maintain - with this service you simply call forward.
All of your voicemail and options can be managed easily by the web. You can listen to your voicemails by the web.
