I called MCI last Thursday and they said they have no record of the transfer. I then called Vonage and the CSR said I have a tentative date for 3/8 (today). He at first said he did not see any updates on my account and then changed to say about the tentative date. I asked where there was no update on the web site about the date and he said it was confidential information?!? My POTS line with MCI still works today.
Why do I have the sneaking suspicion that Vonage is to blame for some of these delays and they have the ability to "expedite" a few LNPs when they choose?
Whenever Vonage seems to get caught with a phone call to verify they sent the LNP in the first place, the transfer speeds up. The same has reportedly occurred with emails to Jeff Citron followed by an expedited LNP transfer
